Corrections
Corrections are dated and public.
When a page states something the record does not support, the page is corrected and the correction is logged here.
In brief
How does Pattern of Errors correct an error?
Pattern of Errors corrects the page and logs the correction with its date, the page, what the page said and what it says now. A corrected page carries a note that links to the log. A change in a case’s legal status is logged the same way, as an update.

No corrections have been published.
Report an error
Write to corrections@patternoferrors.com with the page, the sentence and the source that shows the error. A primary record is the strongest case.
Questions
How do I report an error?
- Write to corrections@patternoferrors.com with the page, the sentence and the source that shows the error. A primary record is the strongest case.
What counts as a correction?
- Any change to a fact: a name, a date, a count, an attribution or a legal outcome. A change to wording that leaves the facts as they were is not logged.
What is the difference between a correction and an update?
- A correction fixes something the page got wrong. An update records that the record itself changed, for example when a court rules on an appeal. Both are dated and logged.
What happens if a conviction is overturned?
- A page rests on an adjudicated outcome. If that outcome is vacated, the page is withdrawn and the withdrawal is logged here.
